"Assisting Entrepreneurial Schools" portal launched
In response to shortcomings in government schools, more than 1.5 million private schools for the poor are now operating in developing countries, according to estimates from Templeton Foundation and International Finance Corporation-funded studies. Openworld has launched a new portal to provide learning entrepreneurs with practical information on sustainability strategies.
The private telecenter operator at Cholpan-Ata, a leading tourism area, has committed to commit a portion of the land development revenues from this privately-owned 10 hectare site to sustain the communitiy's microvoucher fund.
